Data security policy
Introduction
The Public Association "La Strada" International Center, Moldova (hereinafter - La Strada Moldova), is a non-governmental, politically unaffiliated, non-profit organization that serves public benefit and operates based on its Statute, registered under No. 1928 on August 23, 2001, with subsequent amendments.
La Strada Moldova may process (collect, use, store, modify, delete, etc.) your personal data when you donate or participate in actions carried out by our organization.
Objective of This Document
This document is informational and explains how we process and protect your personal data when you come into contact with La Strada Moldova.
The processing of personal data is carried out by our organization in accordance with the security requirements established by the Law on Personal Data Protection No. 133/2011.
What Categories of Personal Data Do We Process?
Personal data refers to any information relating to a natural person:
- First and last name;
- Mailing address;
- Email address;
- Mobile phone number;
- Your image in photographs;
- Others.
When May We Receive Personal Data?
We may receive personal data when:
- You initiate and/or complete a donation to La Strada (using the online donation service on our website www.lastrada.md or through a bank transfer);
- You register as a participant in events organized by La Strada Moldova;
- You contact us through various means of communication;
- Your personal data is public and can be used.
Why Is the Processing of These Categories of Data Necessary?
We process personal data only for legitimate purposes:
- To provide information regarding the destination of the donations received from you;
- To report on activities carried out to donors;
- For further contact through communication channels regarding your activities and interaction with La Strada Moldova.
Data processing is always based either on the execution of contracts concluded by La Strada Moldova, the need to fulfill a contractual obligation or one established by law, our legitimate interest or a public interest, or, as the case may be, with your consent.
For What Period Do We Process Personal Data?
La Strada Moldova processes personal data for a reasonable period necessary to achieve the above-mentioned purposes, in compliance with our Internal Data Security Policy, including strict rules for physical access to personal data and control over visitors to the organization. Upon request, you can obtain additional information about the retention periods applicable to your personal data.
With Whom Do We Share Personal Data?
To fulfill the processing purposes, La Strada Moldova may disclose personal data to donors who support our organization's projects through donation contracts and/or for external auditing purposes.
What Are Your Rights?
Under the provisions of the Law on Personal Data Protection No. 133/2011, as a data subject, you have the following rights:
- Right to Information: You may obtain information at any time from La Strada Moldova regarding the purpose and specifics of data processing, such as the recipients of personal data, etc.;
- Right of Access: You may request at any time from La Strada Moldova:
- Confirmation as to whether your personal data is being processed;
- Information on how automated data processing works;
- Information on the legal consequences generated by the processing of your personal data;
- Information on how to exercise your right to intervene in personal data processing.
- Right to Intervene on Personal Data: You may request:
- Rectification and updating of your inaccurate personal data or, as appropriate, the completion of incomplete data;
- Blocking or deletion of your personal data when its processing violates the law No. 133/2011.
- Right to Object: You may object at any time to the processing of your personal data on legitimate and justified grounds relating to your particular situation, except where the law provides otherwise;
- Right of Access to Justice: If you have suffered due to illegal processing of your personal data or your rights and interests guaranteed by Law No. 133/2011 have been violated, you have the right to seek redress in court for material and moral damages.
Additionally, if you believe your rights have been violated, you have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Data Processing Supervisory Authority:
