La Strada became member of the „Global Partnership to End Violence against Children”

The International Center „La Strada” is the first organization from the ex-soviet space accepted as member within the „Global Partnership to End Violence against Children”.

The objectives of the global partnership are to accelerate action, strengthen cooperation between states and build political initiatives in order to eradicate violence against children.

„The status of member is a great honor for us, since this is a proof that the quality of the services we provide is appreciated, but also it is a great responsibility that we are aware of. Our membership in this global network of organizations fighting with violence against children is so important because we are dealing with trafficking and exploitation of children, including online, phenomena that do not have geographical borders. Thus, we will have access to information and examples of good practice, which will make our work on child protection more efficient", says Ana Revenco, President of the International Center “La Strada”.

The International Center „La Strada” exists in the Republic of Moldova to ensure protection of rights and legal interests of children and women, at the individual, legal and executive levels. In this context, we manage the www.siguronline.md portal in the Republic of Moldova, and implement the public service Child's Telephone - 116 111.

The Global Partnership to End Violence against Children was founded in 2015, when global leaders ambitiously engaged in ending all forms of violence against children by 2030.
