Test your skills in safely browsing the Internet

The International Center "La Strada" offers all users the opportunity to test their skills in safely using the Internet. In this regard, Internet users are invited to pass a test on www.siguronline.md, proposed in the context of the International Day of Internet Security 2017.

The test, called "Do you know how to show respect to others online?" presents seven situations that most Internet users have lived at least once. For each situation, there are three possible ways of acting, and the respondent has to make a choice.

"The test was designed for adolescents and children, but it can be completed by anyone who is curious to find out whether he/she knows the basic rules of safe online browsing. After responding to all seven questions, the person completing the test will be shown a conclusion which will indicate whether he is: an Internet Beginner, an Internet Explorer or an Internet Adventurer", says Angela Palancean, Coordinator of Siguronline.md

Depending on its responses, the user also receives a set of recommendations on how to behave in order to stay safe online.

www.siguronline.md portal was launched by the International Center "La Strada" in January 2013 following the idea that the Internet, information and communication technologies can help children and young people to get knowledge, learn and develop. The portal's mission is to promote safe and responsible use of the Internet by children, including with the support and involvement of specialists, parents and teachers. It provides relevant information and advice, as well as a trust line for counseling and reporting the cases of abuse online.
